Optimize PLR Content

I was reminded the other day about the value of private label rights (PLR) when it comes to ensuring consistent updates and refreshing website content. Many of us take it for granted, but it’s worth a reminder to many people as well. PLR material is a great way to have a huge amount of content available at your fingertips for little or no cost.
But there is a secret to using PLR!
Don’t forget that people want fresh new content. They don’t want a rehash of something they’ve already read or a duplicate of other website content. That makes PLR challenging, while still valuable. Here are some tips that will help you capitalize on PLR content and increase the traffic to your website by consistently providing updated and fresh content:
- NEVER use PLR content just as it is - it must be altered in some signficant way to avoid it appearing as duplicate or rehashed information.
- Insert new data or statistics in PLR you obtain to make it unique.
- Use the PLR tools available that will help you rewrite PLR material - and then rewrite it again yourself to put your own personal ’spin’ on the content! This may take more time and seem like extra effort, but it will pay off when it comes to attracting and retaining customers.
- Combine a variety of different PLR articles related to the same topic and mix and match the information. Once you’ve done this, go back for a final rewrite and once again, put your own personality into the content.
- Always insert information throughout PLR that connects back to other articles or content on your site.
- Create a new, fresh headline with all PLR content used - no matter how much you rewrite and update the PLR material, the headline must be fresh and unique too.
- Give it away (assuming you have the rights to do this). Use PLR to create an e-Book, white paper, or special report and give it away as a freebie. Promote your upcoming freebies to have traffic returning to your site time and time again.
PLR can be a good way to keep your website fresh with content when you use it wisely. But always make sure that PLR is a reflection of you, your website, and your products. Your personal message should always be carried with any content on your website and that includes PLR.
Taking the lazy way out by changing a few words here and there and then publishing the PLR content won’t get you very far with visitors and customers. It will just bore them and send them to another site to find more valuable informatoin. But when you optimize the PLR material available to you and make it fresh, then it can be a good resource.
Even though PLR is a good way to add content, don’t rely on it as your sole resource. As an expert in your market, you always want to create unique, fresh content that you create. Use PLR as just one more resource to get the traffic to come to your website and then to keep it returning. After all, repeat customers are the best way to build your business!

Very good advice. I highly recommend all of those methods for using PLR.
